A word from Mortgage Choice
This was Mortgage Choice’s third year as principal partner of the Women in Finance Awards and our second as principal partner of the summit. These events are so important in bringing together and celebrating the incredible women across the finance industry.
At the summit, it was fantastic to see an agenda designed by women, for women, and presented by women. The inspiring speakers and panellists shared how they’ve built successful careers in financial services by finding their voice, how they let their values guide them through uncertainty, and how workplaces can be more inclusive of women. The Women in Finance Awards that evening was a fantastic chance to shine a light on the outstanding achievements of women from all parts of the financial services industry. We were thrilled to see Mortgage Choice broker Deslie Taylor take home the award for Mortgage Broker of the Year and are honoured that our Aspire Program was recognised as the Training and Development Program of the Year.
The Adviser’s parent company Momentum Media hosted the eighth annual Women in Finance Awards on Friday, 15 November at the Hyatt Regency in Sydney to celebrate the successes of the leading women in the finance industry.
Run with the support of principal partner Mortgage Choice (part of REA Group), the Women in Finance Awards program recognises the outstanding contributions made by women in financial services across a wide range of sectors, and the companies furthering diversity and inclusion in the industry.
With only a fifth of the financial planning industry and close to 40 per cent of the ASX 100 and ASX 200 boards being women, the awards amplify the exceptional work being done by this minority.
The awards were open to CEOs, entrepreneurs, executives, innovators, mentors, and thought leaders, as well as the young leaders of tomorrow.
Out of the 258 finalists, 30 winners were selected at this year’s Women in Finance Awards, including the prestigious Women in Finance Excellence Award (awarded to the highest-scoring winner from the individual award categories).
Commercial finance broker Isabella Constantinou from Simplicity Loans & Advisory was named the Women in Finance Excellence Award winner 2024, having won the Commercial Finance Broker of the Year award earlier in the evening.
