Mortgage Choice Cairns turns 30
Mortgage Choice Cairns – which was the very first Mortgage Choice retail office to open – has celebrated its 30th year in business.
Originally started by Ian Macpherson, the franchise was acquired by local broker Lindon Reed in 2013. Reed has continued to run it for the past 12 years alongside his team.
Clients, business partners, and both current and former owners joined together to celebrate the office’s 30th birthday in Cairns and how it has helped locals achieve their home ownership dreams.
Mortgage Choice CEO Anthony Waldron said: “This is a hugely significant milestone not only for the Mortgage Choice Cairns team, but also for our company’s history as it was the very first retail office to open in our network.

TrailBlazer awards best BDMs
TrailBlazer Finance held its inaugural BDM of the Year Awards breakfast in February, recognising the outstanding achievements of business development managers in the financial services industry.
The event – held in Sydney – shone a light on the “often overlooked heroes” of the lending industry and heard a powerful story of resilience and success from former Olympian skier and keynote speaker, Jacqui Cooper.
