Yellow Brick Road executive chairman Mark Bouris has been locked away to raise awareness and funds for a charity that helps keep at-risk youths off the streets.
For the fifth consecutive year, Mr Bouris was detained in a mock jail cell in Martin Place to support the Police-Citizens Youth Welfare Association’s (PCYC) Time4Kids event.

Time4Kids raises money to support 60 PCYC clubs throughout New South Wales that provide havens for young people from difficult backgrounds.
“I’ve worked with the PCYC for many years because I believe in the work they do,” Mr Bouris said on Friday in Martin Place.
“Their staff, volunteers, coaches and mentors work hard every day to make a difference in people’s lives.
“Young people who have grown up with a difficult background or have made mistakes early on deserve an opportunity to make changes and succeed in life. By providing a place to go and people who care about these kids, the PCYC are helping keep our Australian youth out of trouble.”
Mr Bouris was tasked with raising $10,000 for bail and was kept under lock and key until he reached the goal.
“I hope by raising money through getting locked up, it will save some young people from really experiencing that fate,” he said of his incarceration.
