Aussie Home Loans has continued its nationwide Cooking for a Cause initiative with a food rescue charity in Tasmania, preparing more than 400 meals for those in need.
The broking group joined forces with OzHarvest to provide the meals to the St Vincent de Paul Society in Launceston last week, which featured a 65-strong team of Aussie staff members and lender representatives from CBA, Macquarie Bank and ANZ, as well as professional OzHarvest chefs who were flown in for the event.

“The event was very successful and Aussie Launceston is gratified to help OzHarvest provide nutritious quality food, as well as highlight and increase awareness on food waste and food security in the region,” Aussie Launceston principal Chris Antypas said.
Earlier this month, Aussie’s Western Australian staff helped prepare 305 meals for homeless service providers as part of the Cooking for a Cause initiative.
