Brokerage joins hands with national real estate

One of Australia’s newest brokerage groups has formed an exclusive partnership with one of the nation’s largest real estate agencies.

Yesterday, Shore Financial – the brainchild of Elite Business Writers Alex Nochar and Theo Chambers – announced it had formed a strategic alliance with real estate agency Richardson & Wrench (R&W).

The partnership will allow Richardson & Wrench to offer its clients access to lower interest rates, faster loan approval times and all financial broking products through Shore Financial.

Mr Nochar and Mr Chambers, who last year wrote $138 million in home loans between them, recently left Oxygen Home Loans to establish Shore Financial.

Richardson & Wrench executive director Andrew Cocks said the positioning of broking services within real estate operations reflected the changing needs of property buyers.

“Real estate and finance are interdependent so it’s a huge benefit to clients if you can streamline the process and offer convenience as well as a superior home loan,” Mr Cocks said.

“The principals of Shore Financial have the credentials and the drive to add real value to the R&W business and our customers.

“Over the past two years we have expanded the network but, just as importantly, we have broken out of the traditional real estate mould by embracing new technologies, marketing platforms and now a new financial service offering.”

Shore Financial managing director Alex Nochar said the Richardson & Wrench partnership created an opportunity to offer broking services through a network with an impeccable reputation and a commitment to innovation.

“We found Richardson & Wrench to be a really exciting brand, very much aligned with our own passion to provide high quality service to people looking to buy property,” he said.

“The group already has 100 offices and sells thousands of properties a year and, like us, is in expansion mode. Our immediate focus, however, is on providing excellent service to R&W clients seeking the best possible loan to facilitate their home, investment or business purchase.”

In addition to the new partnership, Shore Financial plans to implement a unique recruitment model that makes it easier for hard working young professionals to be successful.

“We find new brokers don’t get a fair go when they begin their careers in mortgage broking,” said Mr Nochar.

“It’s hard to get set up and accredited, but the greatest challenge is that some mentors and senior brokers hold them back or cherry pick their opportunities.

“We want to attract young guns and offer them exclusive referral sources and back office support. This gives brokers the right environment to work towards franchising the area. This is something they can one day sell.”
