Submissions for 10th Better Business Awards 2023 open

Nominations and submissions have officially opened for The Adviser’s Better Business Awards 2023, now in its 10th year.

The 10th annual state-based Better Business Awards 2023 is returning in person across five states in March next year to reward members of the broking industry who have gone above and beyond in pursuit of excellence and are driving the industry forward.

The Adviser is calling on the broking industry to submit an entry or nominate a worthy colleague across over 20 individual and group categories.

The awards are open to all businesses operating in Australia and supporting the broking industry.

Nominations and submissions close on Thursday, 3 November 2022, while the winners will be announced at a black-tie gala ceremony in Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Sydney, and Melbourne between 2 March and 30 March 2023.

The Better Business Awards program recognises brokers, loan administrators, aggregator and lender business development managers (BDMs), franchises, independent offices, mentors, and thought leaders across Australia for their hard work, and dedication to providing exceptional customer service and acting in their clients’ best interests, particularly during challenging periods.

Peer-reviewed by a judging panel that includes senior finance leaders, business executives, and entrepreneurs, the awards celebrate brokers who not only have written high volumes, but successfully built a local presence and service clients in their immediate catchment area.

Alongside this, the awards showcase innovation in the broking industry, while finalists and winners create a benchmark for excellence, distinguish themselves from their competitors and peers, and reaffirm their position as leaders.

Speaking about the awards program, The Adviser’s news editor Fabian Cotter said it provides an excellent opportunity to celebrate the very talented and hard-working brokers (and their thriving offices) who are going above and beyond for clients in their local markets.

“As inflation and interest rates rise and clients face growing mortgage stress, the value proposition of the broker has only been amplified. Indeed, the 2022 Consumer Access to Mortgages Report recently revealed that client satisfaction with brokers is incredibly high and the majority of them would use a broker again, he said.

“As such, rewarding the broking industry for its commitment to customer service and holding their clients’ hands during challenging times are now more important than ever. Winning an award can set you and your organisation apart from your competitors when attracting and retaining top talent, which is essential given the current tight labour market.

“If you are a leading broker, BDM, loan administrator, or a newcomer or know someone who you believe deserves recognition for their achievements, then submit an entry or nominate a colleague now!”

The Better Business Awards 2023 will be held in person with a three-course seated dinner on the following dates:

  • Brisbane, 2 March
  • Perth, 9 March
  • Adelaide, 16 March
  • Sydney, 23 March
  • Melbourne, 30 March

Get involved in the awards by submitting an entry or nominating a worthy colleague by Thursday, 3 November 2022.
