Gym time

[Wellness] is something I’m still learning. I have for the last month pencilled out a time every week on a Tuesday to go to the gym – there’s a particular gym class.

And I’m like, “Look, if that’s all that I get to, at least I’m getting there.”

Early starts

My exercise and wellbeing [activities] are done first thing in the morning.

I get up early before anyone else and I’m at the gym or going for a walk along the beach or I’m doing breathing exercises.

We’ve just built a new house and I’m lucky enough to have built in a bit of a wellness centre into the backyard, so we’ve got an infrared sauna, ice bath, and a spa now. I wanted to do that because I know the industry can be quite stressful.

I wanted a place where I could go, just relax, and get away from everything.

Swim and sauna

Swimming in the ocean is my happy place. When I’m not in the water, you’ll find me in the sauna trying to make peace with the world.

It’s very important to switch off and recharge.

Sound of music

I’m into music. I love my music. I actually started my entrepreneurship as a DJ when I was 18.

I still have all the stuff – the smoke machine, the big music, [and] the laser lights. Whether it’s Doja Cat or Elvis Presley, I can dance to it.

It’s very relaxing. And it can be very reminiscent as well, when you listen to the songs you heard 10 years ago or 20 years ago. It takes you back to those times.
