The annual febfast challenge is back for 2025, serving as an ideal incentive to start the year off with a health kick – especially for those still feeling dusty from ‘silly season’ celebrations.
As part of the fundraising initiative from LifeLine and the Youth Support + Advocacy Service (YSAS), participants are encouraged to take a 28-day sabbatical from alcohol or any other vice of their choosing during the month of February.
Participants can join the health cleanse individually or as part of the team.
There is a range of useful resources on the febfast website to help people through the month, including the febfast Tracker Calendar and the febfast 2025 Self-Care Guide.
In addition to saving money, the challenge comes with a raft of wellbeing benefits such as improved mental health and better sleep – just what the start of the year calls for.
But the real warm and fuzzy feeling comes from participating in a challenge that is raising money for a worthy cause.
Lifeline Australia CEO Colin Seery said that funds raised through the challenge would support the organisation’s 24/7 crisis support services.
“Checking in and taking charge of our physical health can really impact our wellbeing, so Lifeline is honoured to be one of the beneficiaries for this year’s febfast challenge”, Seery said.
“Apart from being a great way to kickstart your health goals for 2025, each dollar raised during the febfast challenge will make a real difference to the lives of Australians.”
