COG Asset Finance Conference

In March, asset finance aggregation group COG hosted its Asset Finance Conference at the W Hotel Sydney. The theme was ‘Navigating Now and Shaping Tomorrow’ and this was brought to life by the keynote speakers, who were all leaders in the fields of technology and AI. Their common narrative was to be curious of new technology but remember the importance of the human element.

Brokers heard that the biggest productivity enhancements waiting to be made in their business could be unlocked by better leadership, maximising potential, building and leveraging network, and continually refining core processes.

Politicians speak at COSBOA Summit

The 2024 National Small Business Summit, hosted by COSBOA in April, sparked crucial discussions on the pivotal role of small businesses in shaping Australia’s economic landscape.

Over two days in Sydney, attendees heard from a range of leaders and politicians on key issues such as taxation, the challenges of housing, and leveraging innovation and adaptability to thrive in a digitally evolving marketplace.

Among the speakers were Minister for Small Business Julie Collins, Opposition Leader Peter Dutton, shadow minister for small business Sussan Ley, shadow minister Bridget McKenzie, NSW Premier Chris Minns, and NSW Minister for Small Business Stephen Kamper, as well as a range of independents.
