St George bank has merged its commercial and retail intermediary businesses to form one comprehensive intermediary distribution offering.
The bank’s intermediary distribution general manager Steven Heavey said the integration would offer its broker channel a streamlined service and help them extend their client service proposition.

“Many of our business partners are currently writing both commercial and residential business. As a result of this integration they will have access to better benefits through one dedicated area within St George,” Mr Heavey said.
“More and more we are seeing how crucial it is for brokers to diversify their product offering in order to sustain business growth.”
According to Mr Heavey, the newly formed channel would increase efficiency in processing and enhance back office support to help brokers manage their business.
