A joint initiative of The Adviser and RFi, the Australian Lending Awards will take place this evening at the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth.
Last year, the Commonwealth Bank stole the show, collecting the esteemed Mortgage Lender of the Year award as well as Best Third Party Lender and Best Innovator, while the lender’s general manager for mortgage wealth, James Sheffield, received the Best Thought Leader award.
With many new entrants this year, as well as the addition of two new award categories – Best Broker Cross-Sell Offering and Best Specialist Lender – Jim Hall, publisher of The Adviser said the 2013 event had attracted significant interest.
“This year we received the highest number of entrants ever,” Mr Hall said. “The feedback we received from our judging panel also reveals that competition has been fierce across all categories, highlighting both the resolve and the proficiency of our finalists.
“While there can only be one winner for each category, such a high standard of submission quality confirms that our industry is determined to raise the bar and strive for excellence across all facets of lending.
“I wish all finalists the best of luck .”
