
Aussie John Symond has announced a new foray into insurance and vowed to shake up the $30 billion industry.
The move comes as the broker embarks on a major re-launch of the Aussie brand and a new slogan: “Put yourself in a better place”.
Under the new range Aussie will offer customers life, funeral and accident insurance products with “affordable premium rates” fixed for the first three years.
The products are available over the phone via an agreement with The Hollard Group and are underwritten by Hannover Life.
Later in the year, Aussie will also be offering home, contents and motor insurance.
