Membership Terms & Conditions

Memberships

  1. Memberships are all pre-paid and non-refundable.
  2. Memberships are for personal use only, you may not share any content from your membership publicly or with any other third parties, or for any commercial use, without the prior written approval of Momentum Media.
  3. Unless otherwise stated, memberships are auto-renewing and will renew at the end of specified membership period.
  4. It is your responsibility to notify us of any issues with accessing your membership either online or if a print delivery is missed. We will use our discretion as to whether any remedial action is required, or if a refund or credit is warranted.
  5. You may transfer your membership to another person for the duration of your membership if you no longer want it.
  6. You may access your membership on up to 3 devices at the same time. If we determine you are accessing content from more devices than allowed at the same time then we reserve the right to terminate your access.
  7. Corporate Memberships are available on request and are exempted from the above usage restrictions in point 1.6.
  8. Member offers are only available to you as the membership holder. Member offers may not be shared or redeemed by non-paying members.

Billing

  1. You will be billed in advance on the first day of your current billing cycle, at the payment frequency agreed to at the time of purchase.
  2. If you have received a free trial, at the end of this period, you will automatically be billed in advance for the subsequent payment cycle agreed to at the beginning of the trial.
  3. If any of your details change, including address, payment details or contact information, it is up to you to notify us of these changes.
  4. If your payment method fails to complete the payment, we will attempt to complete the payment up to 4 subsequent times. After this time, if the payment continues to fail we will terminate your membership. You will be able to resume your membership once you have provided us with updated payment details.
  5. Any changes to your membership such as an upgrade or downgrade in service will be effective from your next billing cycle.

Pricing

  1. We reserve the right to change the price of any of our membership options. We will notify you in advance of any changes to pricing that differs from what was agreed at the time of your order.
  2. All prices are in Australian dollars
  3. All prices include GST.
  4. Memberships are tax deductible if being used for professional purposes.
  5. International memberships do not incur Australian GST but may be liable for any local taxes in the applicable state or territory.

Gift Memberships

  1. Gift memberships are available for selected products. These are one-off purchases and do not auto-renew like our standard membership options. Payment will be pre-paid and taken at the time of order completion.

Cancellations

  1. You can cancel your membership at any time, with the exception of condition 5.8 below.
  2. You can cancel via your membership portal, or by contacting us through email or the live chat function on our websites.
  3. Cancellation will be effective from the end of your current membership period regardless of when you notify us of your intention to cancel.
  4. You will not receive a refund for any unused part of a current Monthly Membership.
  5. For an Annual Membership we reserve the right to credit or refund any unused component at our discretion, if there is more than one month remaining on the current membership.
  6. If we do offer a refund or credit for an unused portion of your membership, we are under no obligation to offer this again in the future.
  7. Unsubscribing from an email newsletter linked to your membership, does not constitute canceling your membership.
  8. If you have attended a Better Business Summit event and have a monthly membership for The Adviser, there is a minimum term of 3 months before you can cancel your membership.

Print

  1. If you receive a print magazine as part of your membership, you must live within the delivery boundaries of Australia Post.
  2. International postage rates may be applied in addition to standard membership pricing if delivery is to an address outside of Australia.

Privacy

  1. By purchasing a membership you agree to our privacy statement.
  2. We may contact you from time to time with information about your membership. This includes but is not limited to information about billing and payments, changes to publishing schedule, editorial content, promotional offers and member benefits.
  3. You can contact us at any time to review the information that we hold about you for the purposes of your membership.

Special Offers

  1. Special offers on memberships only apply to new members and are only available for the specified promotional period. To qualify as a new member you may not have previously been a member within the preceding 12 months.
  2. You may not cancel an existing membership to begin a new membership with a special offer.
  3. At the end of any special offer, your membership will revert to our standard pricing for that particular membership option. You will be notified of the length of any special offer when you sign up for it.

Changes to your membership

  1. We can make changes to these terms and conditions at any time, and these will be effective when updated terms and conditions are published on our websites. We will endeavor to provide notice of any significant changes to our terms and conditions, and you will be entitled to cancel your subscription within 30 days of any changes if you do not agree to them.
  2. Our memberships and terms and conditions operate under the jurisdiction of New South Wales, Australia and the laws of this region.

Third Parties

  1. If you have purchased your membership from a third party, e.g. iTunes, Google, Magshop, there may be additional terms and conditions that also apply to your membership.
