Connective has announced it will ramp up its professional development program from 160 sessions last year to more than 400 in 2010.

According to the aggregator, the extra personal development sessions will help ensure brokers are equipped with the necessary information, knowledge and skills heading into the new licensing era.

Connective principal Mark Haron said Trainee Management Australia (TMA) had agreed to sponsor the 2010 professional development program.

“With the challenges of 2010 as a backdrop, we are expanding our professional development program to help ensure brokers are equipped with the skills to stay ahead of the competition, and TMA’s support will greatly assist us to facilitate the numerous initiatives we have planned,” Mr Haron said.

“Through the sponsorship arrangement, we can leverage TMA’s programs and provide brokers with opportunities to continually up-skill professionally. All of their courses are face-to-face and they are focused on the education that sits behind a qualification, rather than the qualification itself.”

Haron said TMA’s Diploma of Financial Services in Financial Planning (RG146/PS 146) would be a popular course among brokers that are looking to offer a unique service proposition.

“ASIC approved, this qualification allows brokers to provide advice and expand the scope of their services. Brokers will be able to leverage their client relationships to offer advice and provide products in the areas of life insurance, superannuation and managed investments,” he said.
