The winner of Aussie's ‘Memories of Home’ competition to win $25,000 has been announced.
The competition, which marked the brokerage’s 25th anniversary, asked Aussie customers to recreate a photo taken within the last 25 years, upload the original and recreated image to the campaign’s website, and write a short piece about the significance of the memory.

With nearly 2,000 entries and almost 6,000 votes, the competition came to a close earlier this week.
The winning submission was:
The accompanying text said: “This photo was taken in my nan and grandad’s garden in Liverpool, UK. They were both keen gardeners and always had the sweetest smelling red roses. We didn’t live close by, so it was always a family celebration when we were able to visit them and stay with them!”
As the submission with the most votes, it won the $25,000. Customers who voted in the competition were also placed in a draw to win one of five $1,000 prizes.
CEO of Aussie, James Symond, commented: “We are excited to be launching this campaign to mark our 25th anniversary, which celebrates and reflects not only our journey, but also that of our customers — many of whom have entrusted their largest investment in life with Aussie.
“We wouldn’t be where we are without our customers, this is why we’re celebrating by thanking them,” he concluded.
