Mortgage and finance sub-aggregator Buyers Choice has announced the appointment of a new national business development manager.

Buyers Choice has appointed former AFG compliance officer Eilis O’Callaghan to its newly created role of business development manager.

Ms O’Callaghan has over 15 years of experience in the mortgage broking industry, which included roles at NAB-owned aggregator PLAN Australia as well as at AFG.

In her new role at Buyers Choice, Ms O’Callaghan will be responsible for supporting existing brokers and for on-boarding new members.

Commenting on the new appointment, Buyers Choice director Brett Mansfield said that the appointment would support the sub-aggregator in its ongoing growth trajectory.

“Following a period of strong business growth, we identified the opportunity to increase our resources and skill set within the business,” the director said.

“Eilis brings with her a range of skills which complement our current structure, including five years in a compliance-focused role where she gained invaluable insights into the processes, tools and resources used by successful brokers.

“Leveraging this experience, we are excited to see Ms O’Callaghan add value to our members and support our continued growth.”

Ms O’Callaghan said that she was excited by the opportunity to work with brokers to help them develop their individual businesses.

“The strong culture at Buyers Choice was a major attraction and I look forward to working with our members nationally,” the new BDM said.
