Independently owned aggregator outsource financial has backed the Christmas collection initiative for Share the Dignity charity, which works to support women in crisis.

Share the Dignity, a charity that works to support women experiencing homelessness, those at-risk and those experiencing domestic violence, ran its #itsinthebag campaign over Christmas to help provide personal care and sanitary items to those in need.

Outsource financial provided hundreds of bags to the charity, which included a personalised card, hair products, dental care products, shower products, sanitary items, hair brush and hair ties, an umbrella, sunglasses and a necklace, among other things.

In all, the charity received approximately 138,000 #itsinthebag Christmas donations over the course of the drive.

Chief executive officer Tanya Sale said she loved the initiative, which was suggested by her executive assistant Madeleine Dart, who said she hoped that their work would be the catalyst to encourage and inspire others to “give back” over the holiday period and beyond.

The company said in a statement: “outsource financial rallied together with their members, lender partners and other industry professionals, and were able to provide bags for hundreds of homeless women this Christmas.”

The company thanked all of its members, lender partners and wider professional network for all the donations, stating in a Facebook post: “Each of you have made a difference in the lives of many Australian homeless women this Christmas.

“The Bunnings Warehouse our bags were dropped off to were astounded by the sheer number we had all raised... as were all the shoppers that passed!”
