Former Plenti executive joins CoreLogic

Former Plenti and ING executive Mark Woolnough has been appointed to CoreLogic’s executive team in a newly created role.

Property research group CoreLogic International has announced the appointment of financial services executive Mark Woolnough in the newly created role of executive, head of sales, Australia.

Commenting on the newly created role, CoreLogic International CEO Lisa Claes said: “As the core lens into our customers’ world, it is critical that our head of sales has a seat at the exec table.

“Our sales team drives deep insight of our customers into our business and leads the distribution of our intelligence out to the market, so finding the right person to lead this pivotal function was key.”

In his new role at CoreLogic International, Mr Woolnough will be responsible for leading CoreLogic’s Australian sales team, including design, delivery and implementation of the local sales strategy, the property research group told The Adviser.

“He will also be responsible for establishing and building deep, mutually beneficial relationships with current and future customers,” CoreLogic said.

Mr Woolnough has 30 years of experience in the financial services sector, first joining ANZ in 1990 on a graduate program, where he held various roles across the major bank’s retail, business and corporate banking operations.

He was most recently at non-bank lender Plenti (formerly called RateSetter), where he was initially appointed as head of third-party distribution following his 18-year career at ING Australia. He later moved to the role of chief sales officer at Plenti.

Prior to this, Mr Woolnough held various leadership roles at ING Australia, including positions looking after the mortgages portfolio, during which time he led a team of 120 people. His other roles at ING Australia included head of broker distribution and head of partnerships, broker distribution.

Speaking of Mr Woolnough’s appointment, Ms Claes said she was “thrilled our extensive search process led us to Mark”.

“Mark has achieved considerable success in driving engagement both within organisations and with our target customer segments,” she said.

“He has designed and implemented winning sales strategies while leading high-performing, culturally strong teams. I’m confident he’ll be a huge asset not only to our business, but also to our existing and future customers.”

Commenting on his appointment at CoreLogic, Mr Woolnough said: “CoreLogic is a global leader in property data and analytics, and a business that has been pivotal to the growth and success of many of the banks, brokers and advisers that I’ve worked with over the past three decades.”

“I’m delighted to be joining the team to help shape and drive CoreLogic’s future sales strategy and function alongside some friendly and familiar faces.”

Mr Woolnough commenced his role at CoreLogic on Monday, 26 October.
