Connective appoints new head of broker

The aggregation group has welcomed a former NAB executive as its new head of broker leading the state managers and broker support managers.

Brad Clucas has joined Connective as its new head of broker, replacing Mark O'Shaughnessy, who left Connective earlier this month to take on a new position as head of sales at payments provider Banxa.

Mr Clucas, who was most recently the head of business development at Pro-Pac Packaging, started his new role on Monday (29 November).

He has extensive experience in the mortgage and broker space, after having spent 18 years at National Australia Bank (NAB) in a variety of leadership roles. These included: head of small business, head of business and retail collaboration, head of sales transformation – business and private banking, and the head of southern region for PLAN Australia.

As head of broker at Connective, Mr Clucas is now responsible for leading the aggregator’s state managers and broker support managers in their goal to acquire new members and support existing members to achieve their business goals.

He reports to Gingkai Tan, Connective’s general manager, sales, marketing and distribution, who commented: “Brad brings a wealth of experience with him, he is growth focused, strong on business process and is an excellent leader.

“Brad has extensive knowledge in lending, mortgage broking and aggregation which is the ideal background for this role.

“At Connective we’ve never been better positioned to take leaps in our business growth, and we’re looking forward to Brad helping us on this journey.”

Speaking of his new position, Mr Clucas stated: “The business culture, support, and engagement was clearly evident in my first days and I’m looking forward to meeting our brokers and lender partners as we strive towards a successful 2022 and beyond.

“As head of broker, I’m eager to maintain Connective’s status as the leading aggregator in the country by attracting high performing brokers and providing first-class support.”
