Prior to her time with AFG, Ms Malkin spent 12 months with Bluestone, serving as its partnerships and enablement manager for the non-bank’s white label program.
According to AFG, Ms Malkin was promoted to the role of the national manager for its strategic partners program after “providing exemplary support to AFG’s strategic partners across Australia”.
She replaces Them Lam, who is now the head of strategic partners and recruitment.
The aggregator also said that Ms Malkin’s appointment was part of a wider expansion of its program, intended to strengthen its services towards larger brokerages.
AFG’s Strategic Partners program is focused on delivering “tailored support” for AFG-aligned businesses, including tools, analytics and insights, as a means to meet their needs and support their growth.
Ms Malkin commenced her promotion on 12 July, and will join Adam Barker, who is the strategic partners manager for Queensland and the Northern Territory, as well as strategic revenue officer Corinne Kennedy and strategic partner support officer Sam Bostock.
Speaking of Ms Malkin’s appointment, Mr Lam said her leadership will add further value for broking groups.
Mr Lam added that “AFG has “bolstered its best-in-class team for our strategic partners program”.
He added that the move comes as the aggregator continues “delivering support to our key groups as they profitably manage and grow their businesses”.
Ms Malkin commented that she was proud to take on a national leadership role.
She said the role will further enhance the way AFG delivers value to its strategic partners and support them in brokering.
