Assetline joins LMG and Loan Market panel

by Adrian Suljanovic8 minute read

Alternative lender Assetline has joined the lending panel of Loan Market and LMG, providing a wide range of commercial and residential options to brokers across the groups.

Commenting on the announcement, Assetline Capital national head of sales and distribution, Royden D'Vaz, said that with current borrowing capacity constraints, brokers are looking for a wider range of options for their clients and increasingly turning to non-bank lenders.

‘‘We’re excited to deepen our relationship with LMG, as the first commercial non-bank lender to offer a full suite of solutions, we have the capacity to help more brokers diversify their client base and find the right option for different scenarios,’’ he said.

With an 11-year track record and significant property and construction expertise, Assetline Capital assesses every deal on its own merits to find solutions, even for complex scenarios or property portfolio structures.

‘‘Now, when brokers are accredited with Assetline Capital, they get the convenience of easy access to a full suite of solutions for their clients. And across every scenario, they know we’re quick, we make common sense commercial decisions, and they can speak with a credit decision-maker,’’ Mr D'Vaz said.

“This is especially valuable for brokers who are finding it difficult to place borrowers with traditional lenders in the current market, and for business owners and developers whose profits are feeling the effects of the downturn. With broker market share at an all-time high of over 70 per cent, the need for alternative solutions has never been greater.”

Stephen Scahill, group executive, commercial finance at LMG, said the expanded partnerships will open up new opportunities for brokers to diversify their business to a broader group of clients.

‘‘After the success of Assetline Capital’s partnership with FAST, we’re pleased to have the opportunity to give our LMG and Loan Market brokers access to their full suite of flexible lending solutions,” he said.
