Postlethwaite, who began his position in March this year, is overseeing the Connective Asset Finance sales and support teams, refining strategic initiatives, and creating supportive relationships with brokers.
Postlethwaite was the state manager of commercial broker origination at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) for 14 years and, most recently, was head of sales at non-bank Moneytech.
The new national manager has worked across the major banks, serving as a partnership development manager with Westpac and was a business development manager with National Australia Bank (NAB) for 10 years.
Connective said that the national manager’s role “underlines Connective’s strategic intent to fortify its leadership within the asset finance sector” and aims to expand its offering to brokers.
Speaking on the appointment, Brent Starrenburg, head of Connective Asset Finance, said: “Lee’s extensive experience and his proactive approach to leadership are crucial for our next phase of growth.
“His commitment to the finance industry and understanding of broker needs will play a vital role in enhancing our strategic offerings and support services.”
Postlethwaite also said on the appointment: “I am thrilled to join Connective Asset Finance and am committed to contributing to the success of our brokers.
“My goal is to leverage my experience to enhance our support systems and help our brokers navigate the increasing complexities of the asset finance market.”
Connective appoints strategic partnerships manager
The aggregator also announced that Belinda Devlin has been appointed as Connective’s strategic partnerships manager. According to Connective, the position is a newly created role that was made to more accurately reflect Devlin’s responsibilities.
Devlin has worked with Connective for six years as its events and sponsorship manager, where she delivered Connective’s development programs.
She has also worked as an events manager for the professional accounting body Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and the British bank Barclays Corporate Banking.
According to Connective, Devlin’s new role includes streamlining and enhancing the aggregator’s communication with its lender partners and executing Connective’s sponsorship strategy. The aggregator said that Devlin’s role aims to strengthen relationships via educational programs that would meet the needs of brokers and lender partners.
Speaking on Devlin’s appointment, Connective’s head of marketing and communications Andrea Roberts said: “Our Learning & Development program is a cornerstone of our commitment to the broker and lender communities. With Belinda at the helm of our strategic partnerships, we are poised to deliver even more innovative and impactful educational opportunities.
“Her expertise and dedication are key to advancing our mission of fostering stronger lender relationships and equipping brokers with the best possible tools and knowledge to thrive.”
Devlin said that she was “thrilled” to start her role as strategic partnerships manager at Connective: “This role not only allows me to continue to apply my passion for education and development but also enables me to help shape the future of our industry by enhancing the connections between brokers and lenders.
“I look forward to leveraging our educational programs to support the professional growth of our members and strengthen our partnerships with lenders.”
The announcement of the appointments comes as Connective appointed a new sales executive last month to strengthen its presence in Victoria and Tasmania.
