Aggregator bolsters Victorian team ahead of expansion

by Annie Kane11 minute read

The former head of sales at a commercial fintech has joined Viking Aggregation as its new regional manager, residential and commercial, Victoria.

Maurice Corsi has joined the team as regional manager, residential and commercial, Victoria, where he joins Wade Collins (regional manager, asset finance, Victoria) and Kylie Swaine (senior BDM for asset finance).

Corsi has more than 18 years of experience in the finance industry and was most recently the head of sales & growth at commercial lending technology platform Cito+ (CitoPlus).

Prior to this, he had held roles as the head of broker distribution for former personal lending fintech Symple Loans and was a partnership manager at aggregation group FAST for four years between 2016 and 2021.

He has senior experience across a range of functions including sales, technology, operations, risk, and data for other businesses, including ANZ, Suncorp, Latitude Financial, and CitoPlus.

The new appointment comes as Viking prepares to launch its residential and commercial aggregation offerings, spearheaded by James Angus (general manager, Viking Residential) and Cath Ryan (general manager, Viking Commercial).

Earlier this year, it welcomed two new hires to its NSW and Queensland teams as it gears up to launch its residential and commercial offerings.

It is expected that the residential and commercial offerings will be live by the end of September 2024.

Speaking of Corsi’s appointment, Rob Ryan, chief operating officer at Viking, said: “We’re building an exceptional team to support our brokers to grow their businesses in their respective markets, and I’m thrilled to welcome Maurice as we prepare to launch our residential and commercial offerings.

“His expertise and dedication will be key to driving our success in Victoria.”

Ryan, the general manager of Viking Commercial Aggregation, said: “Maurice has a diverse range of experience across third-party and brings so much to this pivotal leadership role.

“Maurice embodies the Viking values of service and support, bringing back the focus on these key values to aggregation.”

Corsi said he was “passionate” about the third-party channel and “committed to delivering expert strategies that help our brokers work smarter, not harder”.

“Joining an exceptional team with shared values and deep experience, I’m excited to provide hands-on support and coaching to drive real results for our brokers,” Corsi said.
