SFG rolls out upgraded loan origination platform

8 minute read

Brokers aggregating under Specialist Finance Group have become the first to access Salestrekker’s new integrated loan origination platform.

Aggregation group Specialist Finance Group (SFG) has rolled out its new SFGconnect platform to its 1,200 broker members, which it is billing as “Australia’s only fully integrated loan origination solution”.

Powered by Salestrekker 2.0 (which has been in development for over two and a half years), the new customer relationship management (CRM) platform serves as a lending and origination platform.

The new SFGconnect platform – which went live on 7 April – covers residential, personal, commercial, and asset finance lending; integrates into lender platforms, fintech tools, and compliance systems; and has the ability to handle open banking and Consumer Data Right protocols.

According to SFG, the new platform also reduces administrative and manual tasks for brokers by automating tasks (including marketing) and improves productivity by embedding ID checks, two-factor authentication, and automated compliance tracking.

Brokers can utilise the new interface to message in real time, share documents securely, collaborate on deals with their team, as well as use in-built lender calculators and policy searches.

William Lockett, the managing director of SFG, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to be the first partner to launch this game-changing innovation. It’s an exciting time, not just for us, but for every SFG broker in our network or joining our network.

“We’re big on tech and excited to roll out the new SFGconnect and deliver on a long list of features that will drive broker success in 2025 and beyond.”

SFG is the first aggregator to fully roll out its version of Salestrekker 2.0, which was initially launched in 2023 before being reimagined following broker feedback and technological advancements.

The new technology is being progressively rolled out with industry partners.

Salestrekker CEO Dalibor Ivkovic said the SFGconnect launch was a proud milestone for team.

“It’s another exciting step forward for us – working hand in hand with SFG to deliver the best version of SFGconnect yet. This rollout is about giving brokers the tools they need to thrive in a fast-changing market,” he said.

“With the launch of Salestrekker 2.0, we are not just celebrating our past achievements but redefining the future of financial services automation. Our goal is to continue empowering finance professionals with smarter, faster, and more intuitive technology.

“Salestrekker 2.0 is built for the future.

“Our mission is to make it easier for brokers to expand beyond mortgages into asset and commercial finance – all from one platform.

“We will bring lenders inside the broker CRM platform for improved collaboration, instantaneous loan decisioning and reduced lodgement and approval timelines.”

Innovation in aggregator tech

The new SFGconnect platform is the latest in a swathe of major CRM transformations in the aggregation space.

Earlier this month, Connective unveiled a number of updates to its Mercury Nexus platform, including AI-powered automation and its Financial Passport, harnessing NextGen’s open banking technology.

In March, Loan Market Group launched MyCRM Diversified, an “end-to-end CRM for residential, commercial and asset finance”, which brings all deals and lender policies together under one CRM.
