Speaking to The Adviser, FAST’s newly appointed chief executive officer Brendan Wright said the aggregator was determined to improve its broker proposition over the coming 12 months in a variety of ways starting with Podium.
“We have listened to our brokers, taken their advice on board and made the necessary changes to our online platform. The newly enhanced platform will have the ability to pre-populate data and help brokers be more efficient when writing and settling loans.”
“We are determined to make life as easy as possible for our brokers, which is why, as of next month, we will be enhancing Podium.”
Mr Wright said the enhancements scheduled to take place next month were developed on the back of broker feedback.
He also recognises that the industry is facing a number of challenges at the moment, including slow credit growth. "We are determined to enhance the service we deliver to brokers so that they can cope with the additional environmental challenges," he said.
“I understand that the service provided by an aggregator is critical to the ongoing success of a broker,” he said.
As well as looking to bolster its offering to existing members, FAST will also look to grow over the coming year. The aggregator also has plans to ramp up its advertising within the industry in a bid to generate new recruits.
“We will no longer accept brokers on referral basis only,” he said.
“We want to be more active in the market, so brokers can expect to see a lot more from FAST over the coming 12 months.”
