Bill Wang from Oriental Finance was named Loan Writer of the Year for the second consecutive year – taking home the Loan Writer of the Year Perpetual Cup.
According to AFG business development manager Walter Coslovich, Mr Wang is an “extremely professional operator who is experiencing rapid growth, primarily due to his pursuit of excellence in customer service”.
“Mr Wang has been with AFG for eight years and his ability to generate referrals from existing clients is second to none,” Mr Coslovich said.
In accepting his award, Mr Wang said he was humbled by the win.
“I have a great team and great support from my BDMs,” he said. “I feel privileged to be associated with AFG.”
Vivian Wang from True Value Consulting was runner up in the category, while Veki Brdjanin from UniQ Finance placed thrid.
According to Mr Coslovich, all of the nominated finalists in the Loan Writer of the Year category were worthy of the award, having worked “incredibly hard” over the past 12 months.
“To remain in the top echelon of loan writers in the competitive environment that is AFG Victoria is proof these three winners all have great business models which assist their growth and development regardless of market conditions,” he said.
In addition to announcing its top Loan Writer of the Year, AFG also took the time to induct a further seven brokers into the aggregator’s hall of fame.
To qualify for this recognition, brokers must have at least 10 years’ experience in the field and run successful businesses.
Included in the Hall of Fame inductees were Craig Ridley of Mortgage Monitors; Bluehive Financial Srevices’ Darren Sayers and Jonathan Gan; Ufinancial’s Leigh Deledio; Peter Desbrowe-Annear of Geelong Finance Company; Trevor Jones of Treker; and UniQ Australia’s Veki Brdjanin.
