A 54 year old man from Auburn has been arrested on suspicion of $3.9 million mortgage fraud.

Fraud squad detectives charged the man on Friday afternoon with conspiracy to cheat and defraud, and pay corrupt commission.

He was granted conditional bail to appear at Downing Centre local court on 25 November, 2010.

Strike Force Apia was established in September 2007 to investigate incidents of alleged large-scale mortgage fraud.

To date, 13 people have been arrested by Strike Force Apia detectives.
