The website, liveability.com.au, is said to help borrowers break down the barriers associated with property purchases and have the best information on what matters to them and their home.
“The Liveability website is an initiative that supports Australians to live the life they want sustainably – informing consumers of ways that they can potentially save themselves money through energy and water efficiency,” LJ Hooker's chief executive Leslie Janusz Hooker said.
“LJ Hooker sells 40,000 properties a year – we want to give Australians access to reliable and useful information about the ongoing running costs for homes.
“We believe public awareness on issues affecting Australian property buyers, sellers and renters such as home energy efficiency are important and need to be addressed.
“We are setting the foundation with a website for consumers to get the resources they need to make the right decisions for them and their home.”
LJ Hooker and its agents nationally have access to the latest information on sustainability in the home through its partner network of leading not-for-profit, private and government organisations – all accessible in one place.
