Barry Plant has bolstered its mortgage division, appointing a new general manager for financial services.

Last week, the company announced it had appointed Peta Siebert to the position.

Ms Siebert takes on the role with several years of experience under her belt. Most recently, she held the position of regional sales manager at Aussie Home Loans.

Barry Plant chief executive Mike McCarthy said he was thrilled that Ms Siebert has agreed to take on the challenging position to help build the mortgage broking arm of the group.

“Peta has a wealth of experience in mortgage broking and, in particular, recruiting and supporting brokers to build strong relationships with referrers, and she currently manages approximately 28 brokers,” Mr Plant said.

“Her appointment underlines the commitment of the Barry Plant Group to develop a successful financial services division and support the activities of our offices in forming broader and deeper relationships with our clients.”
