While borrowers will conduct their property research online, 90 per cent have indicated they prefer to deal with local experts face to face.

According to research by RAMS, 9 out of 10 consumers want a local expert to guide them through the home loan application process when it comes to making a purchase.

RAMS has therefore this week opened a new home loan centre in South Australia.

RAMS chief executive Melos Sulicich said South Australians can now access RAMS home loan services via three branded RAMS Home Loan Centres (RHLCs) within the state.

“South Australians have taken advantage of our competitive rates on home loans and down to earth service for many years and they will be able to access face to face assistance through our new RAMS Home Loan Centre (RHLC) in Morphett Vale,” Mr Sulicich said.

“RAMS Home Loan Centres are owned and operated by a local home loan expert, providing home buyers with the peace of mind that they’re dealing with someone they can trust when it comes to their individual home loan needs.

“We have been incredibly busy in the past few weeks as many home buyers seek to take advantage of recent variable and fixed interest rate cuts and the SA Housing Construction Grant, which has now been extended to the end of the year.

“This is great news for many local customers who are interested in getting into the market for the first time, encouraged by historic low interest rates and increased competition in the lending market.”
