His role will help Vow expand its wealth management business across its network of 700 brokers.
“The opportunity within the Vow network for professional partnerships with financial planners is immense,” Mr Clifford said.

Chief executive Tim Brown said Mr Clifford would help Vow brokers diversify and grow their business.
"Michael is a welcome addition to the Vow Financial group and our continued plans for incorporating a fully diverse wealth business nationally,” he said.
Mr Clifford’s appointment comes after Vow announced last week that it had appointed former MFAA stalwart Glenn Mitchell to the new position of head of commercial and leasing.
