New app to speed up broker productivity

The loan application and settlement process is set to become a whole lot easier for brokers, thanks to a new app designed to reduce paperwork, saving time and money.

SuiteBox, a New Zealand-based technology company, has launched a new cloud-based videoconferencing and live document collaboration app to the Australian financial services market.

The app allows brokers to collectively review, amend and sign documents – reducing the amount of paperwork and incorrect application forms, as well as reducing costs and improving overall efficiencies.

Brokers can establish a virtual room for each client and meet when convenient, while clients can join a meeting room with one click and choose if they want to use the video features.

Ian Dunbar, manager of Australia’s SuiteBox operations, told The Adviser that brokers will be able to integrate the app with their own CRM system.

“The principle is it’s very open-sourced, in that it’s got a really clean set of APIs [application program interfaces] to enable integration into external CRM systems,” he said.

Mr Dunbar added that the app’s primary purpose is designed to facilitate and streamline business transactions, providing all the tools needed for brokers to close business.

“Clients can have a video meeting with their broker or your adviser, so that means they don’t have to go back into an office,” he said.

“You can receive all of the documentation in a digital form. If it’s on an iPad or a tablet or a smartphone, you sign it with your finger. If it’s on a PC browser, you sign it using the mouse and that’s all recorded so that there’s always a record – literally, the event is recorded as well as stamped with IP addresses, date, time and all that sort of stuff, so then all that material is dropped back down into the CRM system of the organisation.”
