Australian First Mortgage (AFM) has recognised the need to bolster its sales team since its merger with non-bank lender National Mortgage Company (NMC) earlier this year.

AFM has appointed Natasha Sultan as its new regional sales manager for its eastern region, covering New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria.

Ms Sultan has 10 years’ experience in the lending industry, having worked as a BDM at Citibank and as national relationship manager for Connective Home Loans.

AFM said Ms Sultan brings a strong focus on relationship building and is passionate about the mortgage industry – particularly the non-bank sector.

“I am excited about developing strong links with our aggregator partners, lifting the AFM brand profile and extending its footprint across the eastern seaboard,” she said.

David White, AFM’s general manager for distribution, said the lender’s recent merger with NMC provides an opportunity to build scale and grow new business volumes, and it is important that AFM develops its sales force accordingly to maximise the opportunity.

“Driving new business volume by looking after our broker channel and extensive aggregator relationships is our priority,” he said.

“With Natasha’s experience, proven track record and passion for the industry, we are confident she will significantly strengthen our reach across the eastern region.”
