Aussie Home Loans has unveiled two new franchises, appointing two sports stars as its principals.

Former Canterbury Bulldogs player Trent Cutler will join experienced finance professional David Moodie to establish a new Aussie franchise in Sydney’s Alexandria, while former Socceroo Joel Griffiths will front the new Aussie franchise at The Junction in Newcastle with his wife Bianca.

The pair trained together as Aussie mortgage brokers in 2012 and are looking forward to taking on their new roles as franchise principals.

“Like Joel, I was attracted to Aussie’s great brand name, product range and service standards in helping its customers find the right mortgages for their personal and financial situations,” Mr Cutler said.

Aussie CEO James Symond said he is proud to have Mr Cutler and Mr Griffiths on board.

“We are keen to get more sports people to our fast-growing stable of mortgage brokers and franchisees, as they bring commitment, passion and dedication to Aussie customers, like they have in their previous careers,” he said.

“We are very proud of our award-winning training and development programs enabling people with or without financial services experience to launch into a new career in a fast-growing industry, which now provides more than 50 per cent of all home loans in Australia.”
