New Broker Academy 2020 launches

New and prospective brokers will learn the key strategies and tools they need to succeed at The Adviser’s New Broker Academy, run in partnership with principal partner HashChing.

Returning for the fourth year in a row, The Adviser’s New Broker Academy, run in partnership with principal partner HashChing, will take place as a virtual conference this year on 12 and 13 November – with a stream for new brokers and a separate stream for prospective brokers.

Designed to equip new and prospective mortgage brokers with the tools to succeed, the free, two-day event outlines the knowledge, skills and mindset needed to succeed in a rapidly changing marketplace.

Given the COVID-19 pandemic, borrowers have never had a greater need for mortgage and finance advice, and are turning to brokers in their droves.

The New Broker Academy 2020 aims to provide new and prospective brokers with all they need to know to harness the power of outstanding customer service and retention, create sound business and mentor partnerships, and ensure they are primed for growth.

By delivering the event in a virtual format this year, brokers can tune in from wherever they are, for free.

Speakers this year include:

  • Business consultant and director of Banyan Co, Stuart Donaldson
  • Broker and director of Blank Financial, Bernard Desmond
  • Managing director of the FBAA and broker advocate, Peter White
  • Mentor, broker and director of Quality Financial Group, Sue Hayter

And much more!

New broker stream

Implementing the right planning, processes and marketing strategies from the outset will fast-track a broker’s success and ensure that their business is primed for growth.

The New Broker Academy “established broker” stream delivers everything a broker needs to set their business on the right track from the outset and into the future.

This packed, two-day event draws on the experiences of the most successful brokers, mentors, trainers and educators to deliver an outstanding blueprint for success.

Whether in the first week, month or few years in broking, this hands-on event will deliver everything new brokers need to prime their business for the outstanding opportunities that lie ahead.

Prospective broker stream

A separate stream is also running for “prospective brokers” – targeting those who are ready for a career change, would like to help Australians achieve their property dreams and are looking for a rewarding and flexible role where they can be their own boss.

With a satisfaction level that rivals accountants and other professionals, mortgage brokers are considered as one of the most trusted advisers by their clients, according to the Consumer Access to Mortgages Report.

This stream will showcase how brokers work as an intermediary between their client (the borrower), the education requirements needed to get started, how to choose a mentor and an association, and what’s involved in starting a new business with the right systems in place from the outset.

‘Give mortgage brokers the best chance of success and opportunity for revenue growth’

Commenting on the New Broker Academy 2020, Arun Maharaj, CEO of principal partner HashChing, commented: “As Australia’s leading mortgage broker and digital loans platform, we are thrilled to be the principal partner for The Adviser’s New Broker Academy. Mortgage brokers are being forced to navigate an increasingly uncertain landscape, so it’s now more critical than ever that we continue to come together as an industry to share learnings and insights.

“HashChing is partnering with The New Broker Academy because its objectives and vision align with ours. Our goal is to give mortgage brokers the best chance of success and opportunity for revenue growth by helping them to deliver outstanding customer experiences. We want our brokers to not just survive, but to thrive.

“Conferences such as The New Broker Academy are absolutely essential in this process. By attending this conference, new brokers will equip themselves with the very latest tools, tactics and insights to be successful in this new digital era,” he said.
