Top third party lender revealed

6 minute read
The Adviser

Jessica Darnbrough

After months of research, The Adviser has completed its ranking of Australia’s five major lenders, with one bank ahead of its peers.

The Commonwealth Bank of Australia placed first in 12 of the 17 categories in the second annual Third Party Banking Report – Major Lenders, comfortably securing the top spot.

Key areas where CBA led included turnaround times, channel conflict, online lodgements, business support and cross sell.

This is the second consecutive win for the major lender, having taken out the title in 2010.

ANZ also performed well, retaining its second position from 2010.

But despite ANZ and CBA’s solid performance, it was NAB/Homeside that saw the biggest gains in 2011.

The lender performed consistently across the board, taking out top honours in the product pricing and broker remuneration categories, lifting its overall position from fifth in 2010 to third in 2011.

For the full report, look out for the latest issue of The Adviser, hitting desks later this week.
