Heritage pulls loans from broker channel

Heritage Building Society has temporarily withdrawn lending products from the market as it seeks to better manage servicing times.

In a memo sent to brokers last week Heritage said it would temporarily remove its basic variable and professional package.

Only applications from existing customers holding these products would continue to be accepted.

According to Heritage the action is a result of a number of factors, including, “but not limited to” an unprecedented level of demand, reducing inflows of applications in order to improve servicing abilities and to keep volumes at a manageable level.

“We anticipate reinstating these facilities at the end of June and will advise at that time,” the lender said.
