The former boyfriend of supermodel Miranda Kerr has been sentenced to jail after being found guilty of fraud relating to his mortgage broking business.

The sentence follows an investment led by ASIC into Adrian Camilleri’s time as the sole director of brokerage Asset Finance Services.

Mr Camilleri was found guilty of using a private investor’s $123,441 investment to fund a lavish lifestyle rather than invest it in short term loans, as promised.

Mr Camilleri now faces up to 21 months imprisonment with a non-parole period of nine months.
