For the second year in a row, ING DIRECT has been ranked number one in the The Adviser’s Third Party Banking Report – Non-Major Lenders.

The bank was ranked first in 11 of 17 categories, including product range; pricing; online lodgements; BDMs; credit assessment staff; and client support.

The business development team at ING DIRECT received significant praise from brokers, with many going to great lengths to highlight the business acumen and service of their particular BDM.

“I have pretty good relationships with all of my BDMs, but Stuart Moore from ING DIRECT is a standout for me,” one broker said.

Head of third party distribution at ING DIRECT Mark Wollnough said the bank was thrilled with the result.

“It is a testament to the changes we've made to our service model, and across the total ING DIRECT value proposition,” he told The Adviser.

“But overall, our success must be attributed to the team here at ING DIRECT. Each and every one of our sales, support, product, risk and operations teams are genuinely passionate about ensuring our brokers are 100 per cent satisfied, every time.”

A total of 756 brokers participated in the 2013 Third Party Banking Report – Non-Major Lenders.

Each survey participant was asked to rate lenders on a scale of 1 to 5 across a total of 17 metrics covering product, support, technology and commissions.
