Stacey Moseley, editor of The Adviser, said “entries for the Young Broker of the Year 2013 have already been flooding in. The quality of entries is impressive, and we are excited to see what young industry professionals have achieved in the 2012/2013 financial year.”
“Last year’s report revealed insights into emerging trends, including increased use of social media by young brokers in marketing and business generation. It will be interesting to see how brokers’ behaviour has evolved one year on.”
This is an invaluable opportunity for young industry professionals to showcase their talent and those who make the final 30 will receive immense value in terms of marketing to clients and referral partners.
Anthony Alabakov, last year’s no 1 ranked young broker, said recognition as one of Australia’s best young brokers had given his business a significant boost.
“It’s been invaluable: being able to advocate that you became The Adviser’s Young Broker of the Year provided credibility with referral partners, and being able to explain that you were one of the top young brokers across the industry under 30 is key from a client’s point of view.
"It’s been instrumental in being able to gain new referrals, increase volume and we’ve seen that in the business over the last 12 months.”
Young Broker of the Year 2013 candidates will be assessed on a range of variables measuring overall productivity, including residential volume and number of deals along with the amount of other business written.
To be eligible, brokers must have been aged 30 or under on 30th June 2013.
The Young Broker of the Year report will feature in the December 2013 issue of The Adviser.
