Broker-real estate joint venture expands

Australian Property Finance (APF) – 2013’s joint venture partnership between global real estate firm RE/MAX and mortgage aggregator Vow Financial – has continued its recruitment of financial brokers with the addition of two more independents.

Wagga Wagga-based mortgage broker and real estate agent Janette Tucker and north Brisbane finance and loan broking specialist Anish Prasad have joined APF – which works with RE/MAX agents in all states bar Western Australia – to provide a host of financial services for homebuyers and property owners.

The appointments of Ms Tucker and Mr Prasad take the number of APF’s finance brokers aligned with RE/MAX franchises to six since the joint venture’s creation in August 2013.

Nathan Swain, CEO of APF, says the advantages of independents partnering with the joint venture are two-fold: they get both the backing of VOW, one of the country’s biggest mortgage aggregators, and the backing of the global real estate agency RE/MAX, which boasts a strong presence in the burgeoning Queensland market.

“These two factors are valued by finance brokers seeking security and longevity,” Mr Swain said.

“The joint venture provides brokers with a new source of business leads and the real estate customer is best served by people working together with knowledge of the property itself, the property market and the real estate and finance industries they specialise in.”

Mr Swain says APF services now include insurance, wealth creation, legal and leasing, while finance brokers will advise new and refinancing borrowers in the commercial and residential markets.
