Broker-turned-IT entrepreneur launches lead generation business

A former mortgage broker has said his new business will help brokers generate leads the easy way.

Adam King will offer marketing content designed for mortgage brokers when he launches Mortgage Broker Lead Magnets next week.

Lead Magnets will create e-books, articles, podcasts and videos that brokers can then publish under their own names and logos, he said. They will also be able to link the content with automated email campaigns, he added.

“We’re creating lead magnets. We’re trying to make it a done-for-you process for mortgage brokers to reach out and bring leads in without really having to do any work,” Mr King said.

Seven guides will be available on launch date and new content will then be added each day.

Lead Magnets will run under the umbrella of MiBizApps, a software development business Mr King launched in 2012.

He said he will use his technical expertise to guide brokers through downloading and publishing all the content. The service is aimed at small businesses.

“There are lots of tools brokers can use to reach their target market, but these little one- or two-man bands don’t create any marketing content. We’re creating all the content that these guys need to put out there and providing the most automated way to deliver it we can,” he said.

Mr King forecast that up to 250 brokers would register this year for Lead Magnets’ monthly subscription service.
He said he planned to cap subscription numbers at about 500 to reduce the risk of clients receiving identical content from multiple brokers.

About 100 brokers use his apps, which include calculators and inquiry forms.
