A young mortgage broker said turnaround times and accuracy have improved since he embraced an electronic lodgement tool.

The NextGen.Net tool captures data from clients’ documents and allows brokers to ‘drag and drop’ that data into lenders’ portals, said Andrew Bartzis from Aussie Home Loans in Taigum, Brisbane.

The 28-year-old said lenders had been receiving and processing his loans more quickly since he started using ApplyOnline Supporting Documents in December 2012.

“I’ve pretty much had an answer within 24-48 hours subject to the valuation. To get an answer the same day or next day is very quick,” he told The Adviser.

“Anything that makes my job easier, less paper-intensive and requires less investment of my time babysitting a deal is of great value to me and gets my tick of approval.”

Mr Bartzis said ApplyOnline had also improved accuracy because it prevented brokers from submitting loans to lenders until all the required documents had been uploaded.

“If I can make it easier for them, I’m going to get a better result. This whole system leaves less room for missing information,” he said.
