Justin Doobov has confirmed his status as one of Australia’s leading brokers with four gongs at last night's NSW Better Business Awards.

The NSW leg of the inaugural Better Business Awards was held yesterday at the Hilton Sydney. Over 300 brokers and industry figures attended the sold-out dinner.

Mr Doobov was named the state’s Broker of the Year at the awards and also took out the Best Integrated Offering category.

His firm, Intelligent Finance, bagged another two awards: Best Independent Office and Best Customer Service.

Mr Doobov previously starred in The Adviser’s Elite Business Writers rankings, placing first in 2011 and 2012 and fifth in 2013.

The Adviser’s publisher, Jim Hall, called Intelligent Finance an industry benchmark.

“There’s no doubting Mr Doobov’s skill as a residential broker; however, his success across four different categories showcases his holistic capabilities as a business person,” he said.

“He never sits idle, is continually seeking to evolve his customer service proposition and treats every deal like it’s the most important he’s ever written. It may sound basic, but the simple things are essential to getting the results.

“Brokers the nation over should consider Mr Doobov’s business as one worth emulating. It’s one of the benchmarks for broking,” he said.

First Street Home Loans was the event’s other multiple winner.

The firm claimed the Best Marketing award, while Mardee Thomas won the Best Residential Broker award.

The other 10 awards were shared by Alliance Mortgage Solutions, Aussie Home Loans Belmont, Australia Finance House, Connective, Mortgage Choice Newtown, NAB Broker, Oxygen Home Loans, Pink Finance, PLAN2Day Financial Strategies and Shore Financial.
