Founder George Samios said the firm has built a $130 million loan book by being very systematic.
Mr Samios told The Adviser he generates many leads from open houses every weekend thanks to the relationships he has built with top real estate agents.
The agents allow him to collect data and hand out showbags, he said.
“I’ve gone to them and said to them I want to be an add-on value to your customers. That’s almost my number one form of businesses, doing open houses,” he said.
Mr Samios said My Address Finance “does a lot of extra stuff” after loans settle, including sending clients a hamper, introducing them to their local bank branch and making sure they are comfortable with their online banking system.
Clients are also contacted two weeks, one month, three months, one year and two years after settlement, as well as two months before their fixed rates expire, he added.
My Address Finance has grown from being a one-man operation to having three full-time and one part-time staff, he said.
Mr Samios told The Adviser the firm would open a Sydney branch in 2014 and expand into another state in 2015 as part of his long-term plan “to be an Aussie”.
“That was always the plan – to set up a brand, stay independent and to make sure we have as many banks on our panel as possible. That was always the vision and it’s working,” he said.
