A record number of brokers have entered the $5,000 annual competition that determines who has the industry’s sharpest brain.

More than 900 people have registered for the fourth BrokerIQ quiz, which is an initiative of The Adviser and St George Bank.

Entries close on July 16. Click here to take part.

BrokerIQ is a timed game show-style competition that is held over three rounds. The brokers with the best results will progress to the second round, before six finalists do battle at the Australian Broking Awards luncheon on August 15.

St George’s general manager of mortgage broking, Clive Kirkpatrick, said the bank always loves hosting BrokerIQ.

“It's a fun way to engage brokers and demonstrate our commitment to broker education and knowledge in a light-hearted and interesting format," he said.

"This year we added a few general knowledge questions just to keep it interesting, and we have some interesting plans for audience participation at the Australian Broking Awards on August 15.

"One thing we would like is to see more Bank of Melbourne and BankSA brokers enter – it would be a lot of fun to see a battle of the brands in the final round."

The awards luncheon will be held at Australian Technology Park in Sydney. Tickets are selling fast. Click here to book.
