The award is open to all brokers who were aged 30 or under on 30 June 2014. Click here to enter or nominate a colleague.
Candidates will be assessed on a range of business writing elements, including loan volumes, number of deals and other business written to determine overall productivity.
Last year’s winner was Mr Chatfield from Chatfield Consulting, who posted annual volumes of $88.3 million and an average loan size of $354,000.
The second and third places were occupied by two Mortgage Choice loan writers – Leteisha Pileggi from Perth and Matt Cunliffe from Brisbane respectively.
The Adviser’s editor, John Bastick, said the Young Broker of the Year award is a great initiative because it is vital for the industry to keep developing the next wave of young talent.
“Mortgage broking is a fantastic profession, but we all know our industry is ageing, so we need to do everything possible to nurture new brokers,” he said.
“The Young Broker of the Year award gives newer brokers something to aspire to – and for those who make the rankings, it also provides a great marketing opportunity with clients and referral partners.”
Submissions close on September 15. Click here to enter or nominate a colleague.
