New online training courses will soon be available to help brokers learn about comprehensive credit reporting.
The Australian Retail Credit Association (ARCA) has formed a partnership with training firm Kaplan Professional Australia to deliver credit reporting education programs.

The first program, which should be available in the first quarter of 2015, will teach brokers and other advisers about comprehensive credit reporting and what this means for consumers.
The courses will offer CPD points and are available to brokers who aren't ARCA members.
ARCA chief executive Damian Paull said many brokers are still coming to terms with how the new credit reporting system can improve their business model, and how it affects their clients.
"We recognise credit intermediaries – such as mortgage brokers, accountants and financial planners – are often the first advisers to consumers when it comes to credit reporting-related issues," he said.
"Over time, as the new positive credit reporting information begins to appear in credit reports, more consumers are likely to take a greater interest in their credit report, including their consumer rights."
