Last year, Mr Hawley told The Adviser that his goal was to settle $85 million in loans during 2014/2015 after settling $33 million worth of loans in 2013/2014.
He now believes he will smash his original goal and write between $95 and $105 million.
“My goals have changed significantly and are now more in line with why I entered this industry in the first instance,” Mr Hawley said.
Winning the Australian Broking Award has given him a competitive edge, he added.
“It has helped massively with marketing and credibility. With new clients and referral partners it gave me an edge on my competitors as it is definitely something they notice, and with my existing clients, referral partners, family and friends, it has given me increased awareness that hard work does pay off and get recognised – all of which helps my business.”
Submissions for the 2015 Australian Broking Awards, partnered by Commonwealth Bank, close on Monday 4 May, with the winners to be announced at a five-star luncheon at the Royal Hall of Industries in Sydney on 31 July.
