Physical rehabilitation, psychological services, employment, adventure challenges and family recovery centres are just some of the services that Mates4Mates provides.
FBAA chief executive Peter White said the partnership would involve financial support as well as raising funds for the organisation through the FBAA’s activities, including its annual conference.
“This is not only a very proud moment for all of us at the FBAA, but for the industry as a whole,” Mr White said.
“I believe it shows the heart of finance brokers, and sends the message that we are a part of our community and willing to put our hand up for those in need.”
Mr White said it was appropriate to make the announcement just after Anzac Day, as the FBAA is funding 10 “mates” to walk the Kokoda Trail as part of their commemoration of the Anzac centenary.
“Members can expect to hear more about Mates4Mates and meet some of the ‘mates’ over the coming years,” he added.
